Ethos

Imagine your most treasured possessions transmuted into works of art. The endless pleasure of experiencing the items you hold dearest, curated and documented in a way that means you see them in a new light. Works of art that allow you to live with your collection every day, whether it’s a fleet of supercars or a stable of thoroughbreds.

Having always been fascinated by typologies, I can systematically record your collection so they become works of art both individually and collectively, either as a series of large format photographs or presented in the form of a highly personal book.

When brought together in this way, your collection, whether it be a fleet of vintage cars, an aviary of birds of prey, rare watches, guitars or the personal effects of a loved one, will be integrated into your environment, while at the same time becoming a different kind of artefact altogether: a work of art that will stand both as a living testament to your collection and as a complete record of it.

Rick Guest

When asked why he became a professional photographer Rick Guest’s response was ‘If you do something you love you will never work a day in your life’.

Rick approaches photography with the meticulous eye of a scientist and the flair and passion of an artist. His vibrant images relentlessly exude an energy and power – be it photographs of Olympians, Formula 1 cars or world-famous musicians, his images are buzzing with energy and vitality. He plays with the very materiality of photography, sculpting light, motion and technology to craft his polished and precise photographs.

Current personal projects include an ongoing series of images exploring the beauty and power of ballet, resulting in four highly-regarded solo exhibitions in 2013 & 2016 – Now Is All There Is, Language of the Soul and What Lies Beneath. Rick continues this project, working with esteemed companies all over Europe including the Royal Ballet.
